"Human Evolution" by Dr. Frank Sherwin

Founder's Hall

The media, movies, and nature programs overwhelmingly emphasize the idea that humans evolved from primate ancestors. But what do genetics and the fossil record say? Do people and chimps really have 98% similar DNA? Who or what was “Lucy”? Were the Neanderthals sub-human? Are our wisdom teeth, appendices, and tonsils just evolutionary leftovers? Dr. Sherwin’s non-technical presentation confirms that people have always been people, just as Genesis says.

Living to 900: Fossil Evidence for One of the Bible’s Most Amazing Claims

The Bible gives no hint that the remarkable longevity of the pre-Flood patriarchs recorded in Genesis 5 was in any way supernatural or miraculous. But proposed mechanisms for explaining this longevity (fewer genetic mistakes, a different pre-Flood atmosphere, etc.) would likely have caused animals to live longer, too. Therefore, Bible-believing Christians should be very encouraged that growth bands in fossil oysters, clams, mammals, sharks, and crocodilians show direct and indirect evidence that animals in the pre-Flood world were experiencing extreme longevity, just like the people were.

Biblical Archaeology Conference | Evidence for the Bible | Saturday, November 8

BIBLICAL ARCHAEOLOGY CONFERENCE: EVIDENCE FOR THE BIBLE

For generations, the Bible has faced skepticism and challenges to its credibility. Critics have questioned whether it is merely a collection of stories or a true account of history. Yet time and again, archaeological discoveries have affirmed the Bible’s accuracy—revealing evidence that supports the events, people, and places recorded in Scripture.

On November 8, 2025, the ICR Discovery Center invites you to its annual Biblical Archaeology Conference, a powerful exploration of the archaeological evidence that supports God’s Word. This engaging event will feature compelling presentations from leading experts in the field.

Come hear from Dr. Titus Kennedy, a respected biblical archaeologist, Dr. Randall Price, a long-standing authority on Middle Eastern archaeology, and Dr. Jim Johnson, ICR’s esteemed Chief Academic Officer. Through their insights, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how archaeology affirms the truth of Scripture and equips believers to defend their faith with confidence.

This one-day conference will inspire, educate, and strengthen your trust in the historical reliability of the Bible. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the powerful connection between faith and the facts of history.
