The Discovery Center is open Monday–Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a special early entry at 9:00 a.m. each day for members. We’re closed on Sundays as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas day. Find out more here.
Yes, tickets must be purchased to gain entrance into the Discovery Center exhibit hall, talks, and planetarium. You can find more information here.
A self-guided tour through the exhibit hall can take 1-2 hours depending on how long you spend reviewing the material and exhibits. The Discovery Center also offers planetarium shows throughout the day, with viewing times of 25-45 minutes depending on the show. The Founder’s Hall often hosts live science presentations, films, or learning modules that range 30 minutes to 1 hour.

The Discovery Center is a ministry extension of the Institute for Creation Research (ICR), which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Learn more about ICR here.
The Discovery Center has features for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy. Children learn foundational concepts they can build on for a lifetime, while students and adults can dig deeper into the creation topics that interest them. Some special effects, films, or animatronics contain sounds or images that might startle some visitors. Please exercise caution if you or others in your party have sensitivities that might be affected by the exhibits’ more dynamic features. Yes, photos and video can be taken for personal noncommercial use. No flash photography please. Any photos, video, or audio taken should not limit or disrupt the experience of others. Unless previous written permission from the Institute for Creation Research is obtained, tripods, selfie sticks, drones, spotlights, and other such devices are prohibited. All commercial projects must be preapproved in writing by the Institute for Creation Research.
Parking is free at the ICR Discovery Center. In addition to standard vehicle parking, we can also accommodate up to six buses. See a map here.
Yes, general admission tickets are good for the entire day.
Food and drink are not permitted in the exhibit hall, Founder’s Hall, or planetarium. Light snacks and drinks are allowed in the lobby, Discovery Store, and atrium areas. We have vending machines onsite.
Yes, free Wi-Fi access is available in many parts of the building.
Yes, there will often be tours led by some of our scientists or specially trained docents.

Absolutely! Anyone can stop by the ICR Discovery Store to purchase resources during normal business hours.
Yes, there is a bike rack located next to the fossil panel wall on the Royal Lane side of the building.
Yes, we have a coat check at the Guest Services counter.
At this time we do not offer any place to purchase meals. We have vending machines on site and a park with picnic tables for outdoor eating.
Yes, the building and grounds, including parking and park areas, are all wheelchair accessible. We offer a limited number of wheelchairs for guests to use on our property. They are free of charge at Guest Services, but it’s on a first come, first served basis since there are only a few available.
