Discovery Center Visitor Guidelines
We want you to enjoy your time at the ICR Discovery Center. To ensure all guests have a safe and enjoyable experience, please follow these guidelines:
-
Please do not bring large bags or luggage into the Discovery Center. All persons, bags, packages, and other items are subject to security screening at the entrance.
-
Please do not run inside the Discovery Center. All climbing on items inside or outside is also prohibited for the safety of all our guests. Visitors displaying behaviors that are unsafe or disruptive will be asked to leave the premises.
-
The Discovery Center is home to many animatronic creatures. Please do not touch them under any circumstances. Touching them is potentially harmful to you and the animatronic. Anyone who breaks or causes damage to an exhibit, animal or animatronic is responsible for repair or replacement.
-
Children under the age of 12 must remain under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or responsible adult at all times. Children are not permitted to run, climb, skate, or use Heelys inside the Discovery Center. Parents, teachers, and guardians are responsible for the safety of the children in their care.
-
Please keep food and drinks inside designated areas. Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, smoking, and vaping are not permitted on the premises.
-
Anyone wearing clothing that violates our family-friendly environment may be asked to leave. Any form of costume or mask may not be worn by guests over the age of 12.
-
You may take photos and record short video clips for personal noncommercial use, but filming exhibit hall videos, planetarium shows, or live presentations is prohibited. No flash photography please. Unless previous written permission from ICR is obtained, tripods, gimbles/selfie sticks, microphones, drones, spotlights, and other such devices are also prohibited. All commercial projects must be preapproved in writing by ICR.
-
Please note that when you enter the Discovery Center, it is presumed you are granting ICR permission to photograph, video, or otherwise use your image for promotional and other related purposes. If you do not grant permission, please make your needs known to a staff member at the main ticket counter.

While we do not permit animals at the Discovery Center, official service dogs are welcome. The handler of the official service dog is responsible for the behavior of their dog at all times and will be asked to remove the dog from the premises if the dog becomes disruptive or destructive. Due to concerns for the service dog's safety and out of an abundance of caution for their well-being, we do not permit them in the planetarium.
